hello, we recently purchased some materials & activator from you but seem to be having a little probem getting adhesion. have had some great results with our old activator that we had from poland, thats run out so we just loaded up the gun with yours & carried on as normal but the film just slides straight off the speed shapes & is very faded on painted surfaces.
i have attached a pic, please can you advise us on what you think we are doing wrong. shows previous & new in same shot, new faded result is with your activator.
water temp is approx 32 degrees, gun tip is 1.4 but we have sprayed light & heavy with the activator & still got same result. let film sit on water for 60 seconds then sprayed it, what are we doing wrong?

hi, i had similar problems but have got it working ok now. its all down to gun setup and technique. i use a 1.8 tip hvlp gun with the fan sdjustment all the way out and the needle adjustment out just enough so you get material out(approx 1 turn), i have a water trap and pressure gauge on the gun which is running at 15 psi. this stuff needs to atomise properly to work. i soak for 60 seconds and then give it 1 slow pass from a good height(shoulder).allow to turn to glass then dip. the reason its not sticking and fading is because your applying too much activator that is not atomized properly. this is just my opimion so if anyone else knows better please say. hope this helps chris b

Chris is right in what he is saying.
You have all the signs of over activation. Activator is essentially a thinner based product and not only will it over thin your ink giving you a grainy dip but will also soften the base coat.
Your base coat is so soft it is literally washing off.
I would add that once you have your gun set up, you should try fine tuning your activator application by speeding up or slowing down your passes rather than just adding the amount of passes you make with your activator gun.
