Dear all, following the Royal Mail/ Parcel Force price increases from the first of April we were forced to look for an alternative courier so we could continue to give value for money.
The price of sending a 1M tube signed for via Royal Mail virtually doubled. We like signed for as it means we can track shipments for you and you film is insured against loss also.
Unfortunately in going with Hermes, we have found the service to be poor at best. The sudden influx of work they have had due to Royal Mail departures has left them unable to supply the service we would like.
Worst affected seems to be our tubes which are taking the full 5 business days to reach customers in some cases and we have been inundated with queries about deliveries.
We have signed with City Link and are awaiting our account details anytime now. This means that as standard you should get next day signed for delivery once your order has been processed.
Sorry for those of you that want cheap and not fast but we will only be offering the one service as this suits the majority of our business users.
If you are a hobby dipper ordering several items, this will still be great value.
So for those of your who have ordered and have had to wait for your film, we sincerely apologize for the time you have had to wait for it to arrive.
It has been unacceptable but out of our control.
We have worked hard to ensure good service and appreciate every order we get so this last month has been frustrating to say the least and we feel it has damaged our business.
For those of you who have been loyal from the start, you will know this isn't typical of our service.
Hopefully this will be resolved very shortly and we thank you for your patience and understanding
